Total households: 400, Total People: 1750. Male 53% and Female 47%.
Literacy Rate: 17.5%
Main Occupation: 95% of men work for earning. Their occupation is Day Labor 52%, Farmer 25%, Rickshaw Puller 15%, Small Trader 5%, others 3%. The women of the village are involved with house work. Some are involve with cattle rearing, duck rearing and some are cloth design or food processing.
Household Size: 5-6.
Housing Status: 95% houses are Tin Shed (Roof-Tin, wall-Tin and floor-soil), 1% houses are Pacca (Roof-Tin, wall-bricks and floor-soil) and rest 4% are Katcha houses (Roof-straw, wall-straw and floor-soil).
Drinking water: The people of the village mostly drink STW water, which contain high iron.
Sanitation status: About 1% use septic tank latrine, 44% ring slab and 30% use pit latrine and remaining 25% do not have any latrines. The word latrine refers to a toilet or a simpler facility which is used as a toilet within a sanitation system. It can be a communal trench in the earth in a camp, a hole in the ground (pit), or more advanced designs

Climate: This is flood affected area. During winter it is too cold and during summer it is too hot.
Road Status: All connecting roads are earthen. There is no Pucca road (Asphalt Road). The local people use bicycle or rickshaw, van for traveling or caring materials.
Daily Income Status: About 75% Household earn below Tk. 200 ($3.3 CAD) per day. 25% Household earn Tk.200-Tk.300 ($5 CAD)
Market: There is no Market in the village. All go the nearer market at Jamalpur Haat that is about 3 km away. It is open 2 days in a week. Besides that, the people sell or purchase their goods from Nakaihat which is 4 k.m from the village. It is open twice in a week.
Educational Institution: Only one Register primary school in the village which is operated by Govt. There is no Govt. primary school or high school or college in this village. Qatar Chairty constructed one mosque, one clinic and one school/madrasha (centre of Islamic studies) in the same compound.
